Paper and symposium proposals for HOPOS 2026 can now be submitted through this web site. For detailed instructions, please visit the Plan to Participate section, where you can find the Submission Guidelines. The conference language is English.
The two keynote speakers for HOPOS 2026 are Peter R. Anstey (University of Sydney) and Heather Douglas (Michigan State University).
HOPOS is devoted to promoting scholarly research on the history of the philosophy of science. We construe this subject broadly, to include topics in the history of related disciplines and in all historical periods, studied through diverse methodologies. HOPOS 2026 is thus open to scholarly work on the history of philosophy of science from any disciplinary perspective. To encourage scholarly exchange that speaks to the cultural and temporal reach of HOPOS, the HOPOS 2026 Program Committees especially encourage submissions that take up philosophical themes that cross different cultures and time periods.
